It's Happening
The Native American and Eskimo display runs through March 1, 2016 and will be followed by a Star Wars exhibit which runs 3/2/2016-4/30/2016, then a  Lego display which goes from 5/1/2016-6/30/2016.
Take your imagination on a journey northbound into the snowy regions of Alaska..........The Keizer Heritage is hosting a new display in the museum which runs through 3/1/2016 and it features hand carved ceremonial pipes, baskets and various toys.  Native American artistry and craftsmanship are shown in the decorative and practical items.  All are made by hand from ivory, local clay and red pipestone from SW Minnesota.  The baskets are made from materials local to the Native Americans and have been woven with complexity and elements of creative expression.

This display is on loan and is a personal collection of Jim LaRock who enjoyed a career with the National Park Services and was the co-owner of the Willow Lake Nursery which was located on Windsor Island Road.

Viewing hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm.  Admission is fress.  Your annual museum membershipwould ensure that the center keepsour history alive well into the future.

Museum hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 pm; Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.

The current exhibit was put together by Pat LaRock.
